Abstracts are solicited for poster presentations at the Spring 2024 NYSS APS Symposium. Although the theme of the symposium is Structure of the Universe, the research topic of your poster presentation can be in any Physics or Physics-related topic. Students presenting a poster receive complimentary registration. This applies to all of the co-authors. When registering, each student should click on the “student presenting poster” box so that the complimentary registration is received. However, only one of the authors should submit the abstract to the local organizing committee. The abstract template can be downloaded by clicking on the text below.
Once the abstract is ready for submission, it should be emailed to chair.nyss.aps@gmail.com. The deadline for submitting your poster abstract is Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 9 PM EDT. The poster session will be from 3:15 – 5:00 PM in the ETEC Foyer. Easels with poster boards will be placed along the perimeter of the ETEC Foyer. Binder clips will be provided to mount your poster. It is recommended that you set up your poster either when you arrive in the morning or during the lunch break. The recommended maximum dimensions of your poster are 48 in wide by 36 in tall. Awards will be given for the best poster presentations at the graduate student, undergraduate student, and high-school student levels.
